The CobraTec Compact Hidden Release CTCHRBLK automatic knife is a minimalist OTF model designed for everyday carry, combining a concealed activation mechanism, compact dimensions, and lightweight construction in a discreet and practical design.

The Compact Hidden Release is one of the smallest OTF knives in CobraTec’s lineup with this type of mechanism, with an emphasis on discretion, low weight, and easy carry. Compared to classic OTF models, it has a cleaner look thanks to the concealed control integrated into the handle.

The defining element of this knife is a blade approximately 6–7 cm long (approx. 2.5–2.8″), designed for standard EDC tasks and finer cutting work. The drop point profile provides good control and versatility for everyday use.

As soon as you pick up the knife, its very compact and lightweight construction stands out immediately. The Compact Hidden Release is designed to stay as unobtrusive as possible in the pocket while remaining instantly ready for one-handed use.

The blade is made from D2 steel, which offers good hardness, solid edge retention, and wear resistance. This material is well suited for EDC use, where a balance of performance and easy maintenance is important.

Operation is handled via the concealed Hidden Release mechanism, which activates the OTF system without a visible traditional sliding button. This system increases carry safety while preserving a fast response in use.
