High-performance morphing karambit
Serve. Protect. The Provoke Sage Green morphing knife draws from an ancient design but hides a futuristic secret. The very first knife with Kinematic® technology, it stays neatly tucked away during carry and comes to life when trouble arises. Now made from Grivory – a strong, lightweight engineered thermoplastic – it is lighter, more agile, and built to go anywhere.
Story and design
At CRKT, designer Joe Caswell is considered something of a mad scientist. When they looked at his sketches that would become the Provoke – designed in Newbury Park, California – they knew he was destined to become one of the most innovative designers in knife history. The hawkbill-style blade, inspired by the traditional karambit, is forged from quality stainless steel with a stonewashed finish for high durability.
Mechanism of the future
The opening mechanism pulls the folder into the future, whether it is ready or not. Thumb pressure on the upper crossbar sets off a chain reaction that launches the blade into action while the handle remains secure in hand. Made from metallic blue Grivory, a super-durable and lightweight thermoplastic for easy carry. The pocket clip, in Joe Caswell’s signature style, sits almost completely flush with the handle and is also activated with light thumb pressure.
How Kinematic® works
Push your thumb into the upper crossbar – while gripping the handle firmly with your other fingers – and the blade springs to life and locks into place. Slide the discreet lever at the base of the finger loop and the blade retracts into its closed position.
