When Spyderco co-founder Sal Glesser introduced the original Military model in 1996, it was a direct answer to the question:

"What knife would you give your son if he were going into military service?"

The result was a robust, reliable, yet surprisingly lightweight knife that instantly became an icon. Its distinctive full-flat-ground blade, open handle construction, and large hole for one-handed opening made it popular not only among professionals, but also with collectors and outdoor enthusiasts.

More than twenty years later, the Military 2 arrives – a modernized version of the legend, designed by father and son, Sal and Eric Glesser. At BLADE Show 2022, it received the prestigious American-Made Knife of the Year award, confirming its place as one of the most refined tactical folders of today.
