Rockstead Knives are, in our opinion, some of the best knives available on the market. Thanks to Rockstead’s meticulous craftsmanship and unique designs, this semi-custom component is worth the premium price. SHIN is a larger version of the Rockstead KOU model. Features a 3.5″ polished YXR7 DLC blade and aluminum handles with stingray inserts. The opening is smooth with a solid lock that holds the blade securely in place. The incredible mirror finish is achieved by heat treating the blade and successive hand sanding through 400, 600, 800, 1200 and 2000 grit sandpaper. This is very intensive and time-consuming, because if any scratches appear during this process, the blade must be sent back to the previous step for repair. is complete, the blade will be polished for the final finish. The folks at Rockstead have mastered this process to give the knives a beautiful finish and a sharp edge like no other. Each knife is individually numbered and includes a certificate of authenticity.
