Description
The Tanto is not just a change in blade shape from the Butcher but it also incorporates a different handle design with a second finger groove. This addition and the slight curvature of the overall shape (both not found on the original Butcher) makes this knife extremely pleasant to hold and to use. It is outfitted with not only an intimidating look but a set of features that allow it to shine as a tactical and/or survival tool. The Japanese Tanto shape gives you some belly near the tip for slicing while the flat main edge will absolutely excel at chopping and batoning. It features a ball-bearing pivot, right-hand roller-ball titanium pocket clip, replaceable lockbar insert/overtravel arrestor, and inset Torx screw pivot that is the signature feature of Andre’s work. We love this evolution of the Butcher design, or maybe more aptly put the evolution of the Harpoon design, it shares all the qualities that make that a great knife, plus the undeniable cool factor of a tanto blade.
