When a series like the Aluminum Handle Kit Carson Series has been so successful, it’s bound to spark calls for variations. In this case it was a deep-bellied blade with a curved spear point. We call the massive M21-04 and M21-14 models with 3.875″ blades the “Big Dogs.”

The bent and curved blade is ground into a spearhead shape using premium 1.4116 stainless steel with a non-reflective frost finish that offers an excellent edge. The grind includes a false top edge and a deep belly, yet maintains the full width of the center spine for most of its length for maximum strength.We offer both Razor-Sharp, combination Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ serrated edges.

Lubricating pads on the blade pin ensure velvety smooth one-handed opening and closing with two Kit Carson knurled thumb pins that double as a blade stop.

The M21™ models are equipped with the very popular “Carson Flipper” blade extension, which makes opening easier and acts as an additional blade guard.

The Kit Carson’s open design uses molded 6061 T6 aluminum hard anodized charcoal gray handles. They are CNC machined with a perimeter radius for a comfortable grip with or without work gloves, skeletonized to reduce weight. There is a single stainless steel locking insert with friction grooves for positive locking.

It also features our automatic insert safety. Automated Insert Security is an innovation in locking insert security that has been taken to the next level. The automated insert lock sets the pin between the lock insert and the frame. This pin acts as an additional layer of security, making it less likely that the locking insert will come loose during use.

To close the knife, pull back the safety lever with the red button, move the locking insert and fold the blade to the closed position. Do you want one of the most secure security systems on the market? The selection is automatic.

Each model features a removable stainless steel clothing/equipment clip. All fasteners, including mounting screws, are Torx®.
