The Combat Troodon out the front automatic knife by Microtech is a substantial tool, popular among military, law enforcement and first responders. Its large size lends itself to situations requiring a more robust cutting tool while remaining slender enough to keep on your person daily. Named after a bird-like dinosaur from the Campanian Age and ready to strike. This version comes with a Tan anodized handle and a stonewashed CTS-204P, double-edge blade with one fully serrated edge.
Brand new, direct from Microtech Knives, USA.
Blade: A wide spear point blade which has been double ground and sharpened to a razor edge on both sides, sporting a fully serrated edge for aggressive cutting of fibrous materials while still delivering the clean cutting performance of a plain edge on the opposite edge. The American CTS-204P blade steel was chosen for its high levels of edge retention and corrosion resistance and executed in a rugged stonewashed finish on the grinds to hide wear from use. It is engaged via a dual action automatic mechanism. Simply press the side thumb slide up to open and then back down to close. Simple, fast and smooth.
Handle: Tan hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum offers 5.25 inches (13.34 cm) of handle, excluding the breaker, substantial enough for even the largest or gloved hands. It has a smooth feel with machined grooves perfectly placed on both outer sides. It is built with Microtech’s standard proprietary hardware, integrated glass breaker end and pocket clip. Each is individually numbered and dated around the Microtech ‘Talon’ logo on the front of the knife.
CTS-204P: A highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel, CTS-204P has some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance available. CTS-204P is similar in performance to CPM-20CV and Bohler’s M390.
