Our story begins in Vietnam, where members of America’s top secret special operations force – known as MACV – SOG<\/strong> – carried a unique secret knife into the jungle on covert missions. A few years later, in 1986, this knife inspired a young designer named Spencer Frazer to found SOG<\/strong> Specialty Knives. Its mission: to reproduce the original SOG<\/strong> Bowie knife and pay tribute to the special operations unit that created it. What started as a single commemorative model soon became a whole line of innovative tools – proven by US Special Forces, even awarded as the Navy SEAL’s knife of choice. On the back is a stripper bar for wire sizes 10-22, an adjustable spring loaded UTP\/stripping wire and just in case, our patented stripper hole that uses the main blade.
