CRKT<\/strong> Carson M4-02M Folding Knife.<\/p>\n

Custom knifemaker and knife guild member Kit Carson is widely known for his M16\u00ae design, which we offer in many of the production CRKT models. But since 1990, Kit’s best-selling custom model has been his classic M4. Kit says in his usual unassuming way: “I guess you could say it’s my flagship custom. It’s simple, with a form-following feature. No gimmicks that look slick but aren’t worth throwing in your hand. Created by I’m many variations of it, from exotic collectibles to work tactics, in maybe 20 versions, but I’m calling more and more for M4 production.”<\/p>\n

This year, CRKT offers the M4 design in a smaller Everyday Carry Kit (EDC) size. The M4-02M comes with white resin infused fiber scales and black G10 headrests. It is a very elegant look.<\/p>\n

While we were designing it, we decided to add extra value by offering a patented OutBurst-enabled opening and a classic liner lock mechanism. Creates a virtual fixed blade when activated after opening and locking the blade.<\/p>\n

The OutBurst mechanism instantly opens the blade fully after you open the blade approximately 30 degrees. M4 models have two thumb pins for one-handed ambidextrous opening and bronze and Teflon bearings on the adjustable blade pivot for smooth, fast action. The 3.25″ blade is a highly hollow grinding tip made of premium 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a pearl blasted surface with a razor sharp edge. The robust InterFrame construction is true to the Kit design, with two stainless steel inserts, one locking and a stainless steel rear spacer All M4 models have high-set pocket\/gear clips.<\/p>\n

So here you have a friendly EDC knife that fits naturally in the hand for all kinds of cutting and carving. Like the Kit, it’s a bit unassuming, but it’s a knife you’ll come back to year after year.<\/p>\n
