The Ultratech will forever set the standard for all out-the-front knives. The Ultratech is Microtech’s original dual action out-the-front knife and has been the foundation of their entire OTF line. The aluminum handles have the left half of an ace of spades and crossbones with the Latin quote \u00ab\u00a0Memento Mori\u00a0\u00bb which is a reminder of morality originating from an Ancient Roman practice on the bronze apocalyptic standard drop point blade. During the victory parade, once Roman generals would return from battle, a slave would walk behind him muttering a version of this expression to remind him he was only a man and not to fall victim to haughtiness and delusions of grandeur. The Ultratech’s spring remains in an \u00ab\u00a0at rest\u00a0\u00bb position at all times except when deployed. This ensures that the compressed spring will not become fatigued, assuring users that when the knife is fired, it will operate effectively. The Ultratech’s lightweight, one handed open and close action, slim shape and scalpel sharp dro point blade makes it a one-of-a-kind knife, only available through Microtech.
