Using both a stripping solvent and a lubricant for complete firearms maintenance is a must, not an option. Simple logic rules out the concept of a single product that can perform both degreasing and lubrication at the same time. How do you remove the identified excess product by adding more of the same product? Simple wiping has no effect if the excess current between the moving parts is reduced. FrogLube has two products that work in two ways. First are water-based, penetrating solvent degreasers and super degreasers. They work against sticky and gummy residues by breaking them up into an emulsified thin liquid that is easily removed with high velocity air and drying. The second part of reducing excess is that FrogLube CLP products are absorbed into the metal. Once you oil them, the excess can be wiped off, leaving a clean, dry, smooth surface.
