Formally trained in architecture, Brazilian Pedro Buzetti embraces the motto “form and function, not one above the other.” This harmony is evident in his custom work and brought to life in the Padawan folding knife – Pedro’s first collaboration with CRKT. As part of a long tradition of mentorship among knifemakers, Pedro studied with renowned maker Flavio Ikoma – inventor of the Deadbolt® lock and the IKBS™ ball bearing pin. While under Flavio’s watchful eye, Pedro honed his technical skills and refined his design approach, resulting in perfectly balanced knives with subtle design elements inspired by his mentor’s signature aesthetic. Perfectionism – another trait imbued with Flavio – is a constant in Pedro’s work, with each completed piece better than the last, no matter how marginal the improvement may be.

Why call it a Padawan ? Buzetti’s apprenticeship as renowned knife maker Flavio Ikoma – known as “The Master” – was the perfect inspiration for the debut of his first design. Pedro Buzetti’s first knife design with CRKT, this capable folding knife was created for form and function, with a tipped blade made from 14C28N steel and a handsome micarta coating on the handle for a better grip. The frame lock has been modified to keep the blade secure and the clip allows the knife to sit low in the pocket. Padawan is available in two versions.
