CRKT Ikoma Bot Deadbolt 5420 Closing Knife

DESIGNER
Flavio Ikoma
Presidente Prudente, Brazil
Some kids dream of being a ball player. Flavio wanted to be a knife. As a teenager, he worked on knives of the Japanese variety of swords in his father’s shop. He went on to study metallurgy, working with Ken Onion and becoming an innovator. Not only did Flavio launch the revolutionary IKBS™ Ball Bearing Pin System (with Rick Lala), but he also showed the world that there is impressive power in simplicity with his game-changing Deadbolt® innovation.

Description

CRKT Ikoma Bot Deadbolt 5420 Closing Knife.

Like an extension of your hand. Flavio Ikoma has made the Bot a knife that you instinctively reach for and use effortlessly. Designed to feel as natural as possible in your hand, it taps into your subconscious, giving you instant feedback and precise, almost automatic control. And it’s built for speed, with assisted opening and IKBS bearings that smoothly slide the blade into position where it’s securely held in place by a strong Deadbolt lock.

How Deadbolt works
Steel screws lock into the blade when it is deployed to provide incredible strength. A prominent button is located at the pivot point for simple and intuitive disengagement without fingers crossing the path of the blade.
