This starts with textured glass-filled nylon scales and a double 2CR13 stainless steel InterFrame insert. When assembled with glass nylon rear spacers and Torx® fasteners, the result is amazingly stiff.

Glass-filled nylon offers excellent toughness and solvent resistance. Lubricating pads on the blade pivot and adjustable pivot screw allow for perfect blade action. The blade is made of high carbon 8CR15MoV stainless steel, which provides the ideal combination of toughness and edge-holding ability in a working knife, and also allows for easy sharpening in the field. Standard models have a pearl finish.

The M16®-01Z uses our popular thin profile spear tip blade with a sharp edge. It is ideal for fine cutting and carving. Of course, there is the Carson Flipper, which speeds up the opening of the blade and acts as a blade guard when the blade is open.

This knife is equipped with an automatic insert safety. Automated Insert Security is an innovation in locking insert security that has been taken to the next level. The automated insert lock sets the pin between the lock insert and the frame. This pin acts as an additional layer of security, making it less likely that the locking insert will come loose during use.

To close the knife, pull back the safety lever with the red button, move the locking insert and fold the blade to the closed position. Do you want one of the most secure security systems on the market? The selection is automatic.
