Over the past decade we have produced Kit Carson’s popular M16® series in many variations. Our glass-filled nylon version has built the largest user base of all. These knives are built for function, not fashion, and are exceptional values.

Our new M16 ZLEK series utilizes our highly successful InterFrame construction with tough, textured, glass-filled nylon scales over a 420J2 stainless steel InterFrame insert and tough, glass-filled nylon back spacers. We mount the handle using top-of-the-line Torx® offset fasteners.

For professional use, we added a seat belt cutter and tungsten carbide window breaker to the butt of the Carson Flipper. The car’s side windows shatter with one swift blow from the butt of the knife.

All components receive a durable tactical black coating. The flipper can be pressed for quick opening with one hand and creates a blade guard when opened. We use our premium high-carbon AUS 8 stainless steel for the blades, which have a combination of Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ serrated edges for easy cutting of ropes, cords, canvas and vegetation.

All three models feature our automatic insert safety. Automated Insert Security is an innovation in locking insert security that has been taken to the next level. The automated insert lock sets the pin between the lock insert and the frame. This pin acts as an additional layer of security, making it less likely that the locking insert will come loose during use. To close the knife, pull back the safety lever with the red button, move the locking insert and fold the blade to the closed position.
