The Microtech Ultratech Shooting Knife is equipped with a blade with a serrated cutting edge. It has a molded aluminum handle made of 6061-T6 anodized aluminum and stainless steel reinforcement.

Microtech has equipped this version of the ever-popular Ultratech D/A OTF knife with a smooth contoured handle design that increases comfort of use. This updated model provides the same dimensions, but fits more easily in your hand and pocket.

For those unfamiliar with Ultratech, it is a fully automatic knife with a dual mechanism off the front, meaning the blade folds and retracts with the thumb. Microtech’s Ultratech knife set the bar for all OTF knives.

The Ultratech without question has been Microtech’s flagship out of the front auto knife since its induction in 1999. Recently it has gone through an aesthetic redesign and the reviews have been nothing but positive. While the dimensions of the Ultratech remain unchanged, the handle has been given a “tri-grip” overhaul offering exponentially more gripping security. Additional improvements include tri-angle hardware, a redesigned thumb slide and the glass breaker that now includes a press fitted ball bearing for a more comfortable, but still functional, user experience. Each Microtech OTF knife has extremely sophisticated internal mechanisms which improve the overall operational functionality and reliability. This model, the 123-12AP, features a black handle complete with standard hardware and an integrated glass breaker function along with a tanto blade, which is fully serrated, in an apocalyptic stonewash finish.
