Combat Troodon OTF Line – Troodon means “wounding tooth” in Greek. Although the name was first given to the Raptor-like dinosaur, the name is equally appropriate for Microtech’s large OTF knife, designed for a variety of uses and close combat. The over-the-top, double-action (D/A) automatic knife is a popular OTF among law enforcement, US military and emergency personnel. Its robust construction makes the Combat Troodon® suitable for heavy use, and the benefits of the Out The Front automatic also make it an excellent knife for everyday carry.

M390MK – a collaboration between Microtech and Böhler engineers has resulted in an exclusive version of the M390 steel made just for Microtech. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to more detailed investigation, improving the properties of M390 steel to provide better edge retention, corrosion resistance and polishability. Martensitic high performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Thanks to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high resistance to wear, it adequately maintains the shape of the blade, so the blade remains sharp for a very long time (requires minimal maintenance). Another advantage is the resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high content of chromium 19.0% (Cr) doped with 1.95% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V) and is hardened to 59-61 HRC. Blade – machine-ground, double-edged type D/E (Double Edge Dagger), black coated. The blade was made with a high flat grind (Flat Grind), which provides excellent cutting properties. Thanks to this, the knife has excellent penetrating properties while maintaining strength. The centrally located grain further strengthens the blade. A strong blade extension/retraction mechanism with a molded Thumb Slide, a stepped thumb slide, requires a specific force to be used to overcome spring resistance for safety. The opening method ensures trouble-free opening for both right-handed and left-handed users.

Handle – manufactured with excellent precision in 3D technology on CNC milling machines, from Mil-Spec coated black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum. The surface texture of the handle and the deep notches (jimping) on ​​it ensure that the knife does not slip in the hand during use. The thin profile and milled two-position (right/left) fixed deep carry clip allows the knife to be discreetly carried in a pocket, in a tip-down (blade tip-down) position. The clip bears the Microtech logo, serial number and date of manufacture. The handle is finished with a glass breaker, a solid steel triangle into which a tungsten carbide ball is pressed. It also has an opening for weaving a decorative cord.
