Spyderco Dragonfly 2 C28PBK2 Folding Knife

CQI – Continuous Quality Improvement is the process Spyderco uses to evaluate and improve long established knife models. Sometimes CQI changes are big and noticeable, sometimes they are minor improvements. We recently applied CQI to the classic Dragonfly and created the new Dragonfly 2. Dragonfly 2 improves on some notable features over the classic version while maintaining important fundamentals.

Features that carry over to the new version include the proven mid-sized blade and ergonomic handle, along with a forefinger and back attachment. Also maintaining the geometry between the blade and the handle and the leverage points that make the Dragonfly cut and feel like a much larger knife when held.

New improvements include: the addition of a left/right flip wire buckle, patented two-way texturing on the grip, choil and spine jimping, and bolt-on grip construction. The blade is still premium VG-10, now in a high performance flat grind.

The position of the Spyderco flared round hole relative to the pin results in a smooth opening, and the FRN (Fiber Glass Reinforced Nylon) handle fits ergonomically in the hand with a variety of grip angles and leverage points.
